Hi, my name is Nick Wood and I'm a Master Locksmith with the Begg Security Group. I live in Cromwell with my wife Beth and our two wonderful boys, Joseph (11) and Charlie (8) and we moved here from Dunedin just over seven years ago.
My Rotary journey began in 2003 when I spent 12 months in Sweden, as a RYE student in district 2400. From there I got involved with a few other former RYE students and some promising young Rotarians and we kick started the Dunedin Rotaract club back into life.  For the past seven years I've also been an active member of the RYE committee.

Having read an article about the local Cromwell Rotary Club and doing a bit of research, we decided to make the move to Cromwell and pursue career opportunities here.

Making the decision to join Rotary in 2012, I've loved it ever since. In 2015/16 I was the Cromwell Club President and then I became the ADG for Central Otago from 2018 to 2020.  Now I'm in training to be the District Governor in 2021-22. All of us at home are looking forward to this new adventure and a few very busy years ahead.

When I'm not busy with Rotary, you'll find me leading the Cromwell Scouts, helping with the kids sports or in my happy place - the garden.
