Rotarians at work:
Rotary is proud to be supporting Kiwi Harvest.
Over 30 banana boxes of groceries (1,600+kgs or $5,600 worth ) were collected by the Rotary Club of Dunedin Central as part of their "Random Act of Kindness Day".    That's an enormous amount of food.     The groceries have been given to KiwiHarvest to distribute to food banks in Dunedin.       Another excellent Rotary initiative.

If you haven't heard about the awesome work KiwiHarvest is doing here in New Zealand, head along to their website:   https://www.kiwiharvest.org.nz

In March 2012, KiwiHarvest began delivering food to Dunedin's charities and they have been "rescuing" food in Auckland since 2015.   Every month delivering 40,000kgs of food to 215 charities nationally.

Put simply, they collect good food before it goes to waste and redistribute it to those in need, reducing the negative impacts of food waste on our environment which in turn creates lasting positive change by nourishing those in need.

Their mantra is "Feed More.   Waste Less.    Kai atu" - something we should all be taking into account.
